PIPEFITTING TRAINER

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipefitting Trainer to join our esteemed team at ALI A. AL-ZAYER & PARTNER CO in Dammam. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs to equip our workforce with the essential skills and knowledge required for safe, efficient, and compliant pipefitting operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industry standards, hands-on expertise in pipefitting techniques, and a passion for mentoring and developing talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Design, develop, and implement structured training programs tailored to the needs of our workforce, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, safety regulations, and company standards. Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, both theoretical and practical, to enhance learning outcomes.
• Technical Instruction: Provide expert guidance on pipefitting methodologies, including the interpretation of blueprints and schematics, selection and use of tools and materials, and adherence to ASME, API, and other relevant industry codes. Demonstrate proper techniques for cutting, threading, welding, and assembling pipes to ensure precision and quality.
• Safety and Compliance Training: Emphasize the critical importance of safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures. Ensure all training adheres to OSHA, ISO, and local regulatory requirements to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Hands-On Mentorship: Supervise and mentor trainees during practical exercises, offering constructive feedback and corrective guidance to refine their skills. Assess competency levels through evaluations and examinations to ensure proficiency in pipefitting tasks.
• Equipment and Resource Management: Maintain and organize training materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and functionality. Collaborate with procurement and maintenance teams to source high-quality resources and address any operational challenges promptly.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in the pipefitting industry. Recommend and implement improvements to training programs to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and relevance in a dynamic operational environment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, assessments, and trainee progress. Generate detailed reports for management, highlighting key achievements, areas for improvement, and recommendations for workforce development initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A diploma or certification in Pipefitting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. Additional certifications from recognized institutions, such as ASME or API, are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pipefitting, with at least 2 years in a training or instructional capacity. Proven expertise in industrial, commercial, or oil and gas sector pipefitting is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of pipefitting tools, materials, and techniques, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with CAD software and pipefitting simulation tools is a plus.
• Instructional Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts. Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods to accommodate varying skill levels.
• Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards. Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA 30) is preferred.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and productive training environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset to achieve training objectives.
