Quality Technician – Precision Group, Dammam

Key Responsibilities
The Quality Technician will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to uphold and enhance our quality management systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with established specifications and industry standards. Utilize precision measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test data, and quality metrics in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal documentation standards. Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings, trends, and corrective actions to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and quality enhancement by analyzing data trends, non-conformances, and customer feedback. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) that mitigate risks and improve overall product quality.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure adherence to international quality standards, such as ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements specific to our industry. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, facilitating inspections, and demonstrating compliance with established protocols.
- Calibration and Maintenance: Oversee the calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment to ensure reliability and precision. Verify that all tools and instruments are functioning within specified tolerances and coordinate with maintenance teams to address any discrepancies promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability. Provide training and guidance to personnel on quality best practices, inspection techniques, and compliance protocols to elevate the overall quality performance of the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:
- Education: A diploma or associate degree in Quality Control, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Prior experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or related industries is highly advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with quality control tools, such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measurement instruments. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management software is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information, report findings, and collaborate with team members across all levels of the organization.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), are desirable but not mandatory.
