Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Credit Control Consultant to join our Finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing credit deals, evaluating credit applications, monitoring accounts receivable, and facilitating timely collections across the business. The ideal candidate will ensure that credit approvals are processed efficiently in accordance with delegation of authority guidelines, service level agreements (SLAs), and internal credit control policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health and operational excellence of Al-Futtaim Automotive’s expanding footprint in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Assessment and Approval: Review and validate supporting documentation for credit applications to ensure accuracy, validity, and completeness. Prepare comprehensive credit assessment reports and submit them for approval in adherence to defined processes and timelines.
  • Credit Limit Management: Update approved credit terms in the SAP Customer Credit Master and maintain a detailed credit approval tracker to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Accounts Receivable Monitoring: Proactively monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, or irregularities. Collaborate with Business Finance and Sales teams to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely collections.
  • Payment Reconciliation: Coordinate with the Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) Order-to-Cash (O2C) team to ensure customer payments are accurately recorded and unallocated credits are promptly resolved.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and present accounts receivable reports and analyses, highlighting collection issues, delinquent accounts, and trends to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Periodic Credit Reviews: Support the Head of Corporate Credit and Business Heads in conducting periodic credit reviews to maintain appropriate credit limits and payment terms in alignment with business objectives.
  • Field Visits and Relationship Management: Conduct client field visits when necessary to strengthen collections efforts, resolve disputes, and nurture long-term business relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in Credit Control: Demonstrated understanding of credit control principles, credit assessment methodologies, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience in financial analysis, credit control, or accounts receivable within a corporate or automotive finance environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial reporting, data analysis, and tracking purposes.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills: Ability to prepare detailed credit assessments, AR reports, and credit approval trackers with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
  • ERP System Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems for managing credit data and customer records.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Business Finance, Sales, FSSC O2C, and Corporate Credit.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with negotiation and relationship management capabilities to handle sensitive financial discussions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential to engage with diverse stakeholders and ensure seamless operations.
