Position Overview

In this critical role, you will play a key part in shaping our tax strategy by providing expert guidance on tax legislation, compliance, and optimization. Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst - Tax, you will be responsible for a wide range of tax-related functions, including:
- Tax Compliance and Reporting: Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of tax returns, ensuring full compliance with all applicable local and international tax laws and regulations.
- Strategic Tax Advisory: Provide expert advice to cross-functional teams on the tax implications of business transactions, strategic planning, and operational decisions to minimize liabilities and enhance profitability.
- Tax Analysis and Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of tax liabilities, identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing strategies to improve overall tax efficiency while mitigating risks.
- Legislative Monitoring and Reporting: Stay abreast of evolving tax legislation, regulatory changes, and industry trends, preparing comprehensive reports that assess their potential impact on the organization and recommending proactive measures.
- Audit Support and Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, as well as tax consultants, during audits and inquiries. Ensure seamless communication with tax authorities, maintaining transparency and accuracy throughout the process.
- Policy Development and Training: Assist in the creation and refinement of tax policies and procedures to strengthen compliance frameworks and risk management. Additionally, mentor junior tax professionals by providing training on tax processes, best practices, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or ACCA will be considered a significant advantage.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience in tax compliance and advisory roles, with a strong focus on international tax matters and multi-jurisdictional tax strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of current tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in tax compliance software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex tax codes, analyze financial data, and develop innovative solutions to optimize tax outcomes.
- Organizational and Time Management: Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate tax concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including non-tax professionals.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience within a large corporate setting or a reputable consultancy firm is highly desirable, as it provides exposure to diverse tax challenges and best practices.
