Career Maker, based in Riyadh, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer specializing in macOS development to join our dynamic technology team. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer – macOS will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Software Development: Architect, design, and implement robust, scalable, and efficient macOS applications using Swift, Objective-C, and other relevant frameworks. Ensure adherence to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and best practices for performance, security, and usability.
• System Architecture: Lead the design and evolution of software architecture to support complex features, scalability, and maintainability. Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries and frameworks where appropriate to enhance functionality and reduce development time.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to coding standards. Implement automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and UI tests) to maintain high code quality and minimize defects in production environments.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in macOS applications, optimizing memory usage, CPU efficiency, and application responsiveness. Utilize profiling tools such as Instruments to analyze and improve application performance.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that all macOS applications comply with industry security standards and data protection regulations. Implement secure coding practices, encryption, and access controls to safeguard user data and maintain system integrity.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including API references, architecture diagrams, and release notes. Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, technical workshops, and team meetings to promote best practices across the organization.
• Agile Development: Contribute to Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups. Drive continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in macOS application development, with a strong command of Swift and Objective-C. Proficiency in Xcode, Cocoa, Core Data, and macOS frameworks is essential.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges with efficient and scalable solutions. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members while fostering a positive team culture.
• Innovation & Adaptability: A passion for staying current with emerging technologies, trends, and tools in the macOS ecosystem. Willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements and business needs.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
