Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – FC Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising third-party logistics (3PL) operations within our fulfilment centres. This position requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and enhance overall efficiency across inbound, outbound, dispatch, and returns processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse management, vendor coordination, and performance tracking, with a keen focus on continuous improvement and cost optimisation. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to implement process improvements that align with STYLI’s vision of delivering unparalleled service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- 3PL Operations Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison for 3PL fulfilment centre operations, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
- Monitor and enforce SLAs across all operational touchpoints, including inbound logistics, outbound dispatch, and returns processing.
- Conduct daily and weekly performance reviews with the 3PL team to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive timely resolution of operational escalations and proactively address challenges to maintain operational continuity.
- Performance Tracking & KPIs:
- Monitor critical KPIs such as order fulfilment turnaround time (TAT), pick-pack productivity, and return processing timelines.
- Analyse performance data to identify gaps, implement corrective measures, and ensure consistent achievement of targets.
- Inventory & Warehouse Control:
- Ensure alignment between warehouse management system (WMS) data and physical inventory through rigorous stock reconciliation and cycle counts.
- Oversee key processes, including goods receipt note (GRN) verification, put-away procedures, and shrinkage control initiatives.
- Drive the resolution of inventory discrepancies and implement measures to minimise stock losses.
- Returns & Quality Control:
- Manage the end-to-end returns process, including quality checks, disposition (put-back, liquidation, or return-to-vendor), and vendor recoveries for damaged or incorrect items.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, including size verification, colour accuracy, damage assessment, and usage checks.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve supplier performance failure (SPF) claims and recover costs associated with non-compliant products.
- Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with planning, transport, finance, and technology teams to align operational strategies with business objectives.
- Support demand forecasting, peak season planning, and capacity readiness initiatives to ensure seamless scalability.
- Facilitate cross-border logistics operations, including documentation and compliance for shipments between KSA and other regions.
- Cost & Efficiency Management:
- Monitor cost per unit and identify opportunities for operational cost reduction without compromising service quality.
- Control additional expenses related to storage, manpower, pallets, and freight through strategic planning and negotiation.
- Champion process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
- Projects & Process Excellence:
- Support warehouse migrations, ramp-ups, and the establishment of new fulfilment centres to meet growing business demands.
- Drive the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to safety guidelines and audit requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with operational processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce warehouse or 3PL operations, with a proven track record in vendor management.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), preferably Increff or similar platforms.
- Strong expertise in managing 3PL partners, including performance monitoring and contract compliance.
- Experience in e-commerce returns processing, quality control, and liquidation strategies.
- Proven ability to manage warehouse migrations, scale-ups, and new facility setups.
- Knowledge of cross-border logistics, including international documentation and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
