Communication & Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communication & Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing our organization’s enterprise communication and network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, robust security, and optimal performance across our network environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in Cisco-based networking solutions, enterprise telecom services, and network security, along with a proven track record of delivering high-impact infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Communication & Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our network and communication systems. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the enterprise communication and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Cisco Network Design & Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco-based network environments, including routing, switching, and advanced networking solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Performance & Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and security to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex network, communication, and connectivity issues across enterprise environments, minimizing downtime and optimizing user experience.
• Telecom Service Coordination: Collaborate with telecom service providers to manage SIM card activations, replacements, troubleshooting, and inventory, ensuring seamless mobile connectivity for the organization.
• Project Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and execute communication and network infrastructure projects, from initial design to final implementation, while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce network security measures, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to safeguard critical assets.
• Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operational reports, and project updates to facilitate knowledge sharing and decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to align network solutions with organizational goals and deliver value-driven outcomes.
• Knowledge Sharing & Support: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the IT department.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, communication systems, or telecommunications, with a strong focus on enterprise environments.
• Certifications: CCNP certification is mandatory; additional certifications in Cisco technologies, network security, or cloud networking are highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN, VPN, Wireless Networks, and Network Security. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS networking services is a plus.
• Telecom & SIM Management: Experience managing enterprise telecom services, including SIM card lifecycle, troubleshooting, and coordination with telecom providers.
• Tools & Solutions: Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, as well as enterprise networking solutions such as Cisco DNA Center and Cisco ISE.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
• Collaboration: Experience working with telecom operators and technology vendors, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
