SKILLED HELPER

Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Skilled Helper to join our production team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring smooth and efficient operations by supporting various stages of the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include material handling, machine operation assistance, quality control, and adherence to workplace organization standards. This position requires a proactive approach, strong work ethic, and the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high productivity levels.

Key Responsibilities

The Skilled Helper will be responsible for a range of tasks designed to support production efficiency and quality assurance. Your duties will encompass the following areas:

• Material Transportation and Preparation:
  • Transport raw materials from the mixing unit to designated machines to ensure uninterrupted production, particularly in extrusion processes.
  • Prepare and make available operational resources, including ORM (Operational Readiness Materials), packing materials, machine accessories, and ink buckets as required by the production team.
• Machine Operation Support:
  • Load and unload Work-in-Progress (WIP) rolls onto printing and cutting machines to facilitate continuous operation.
  • Remove finished rolls or bags from machines and pack them according to specified packing procedures to maintain product integrity and compliance with standards.
• Quality Control and Monitoring:
  • Weigh finished products and accurately record the weight on product labels to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Monitor machines and products during production runs, promptly identifying and reporting any defects to the appropriate personnel to prevent quality issues and minimize waste.
• Material and Waste Management:
  • Return leftover materials and machine accessories to their designated storage locations within the section to uphold a well-organized and efficient workspace.
  • Collect, weigh, and segregate production waste, then relay waste figures to the Operator for inclusion in the Production Report to support accurate record-keeping and process improvement.
• Adherence to Workplace Standards:
  • Perform 5S duties as instructed by the Operator and Lead Operator to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment that aligns with organizational best practices.
