Position Overview
Nextwave Solutions - Healthcare, a distinguished provider of advanced healthcare solutions, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Unit Manager (Critical Care & Surgical) to lead our operations in the Riyadh Region, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, performance, and growth of our Critical Care and Surgical product lines, ensuring alignment with our mission to enhance patient outcomes through high-quality medical solutions and unparalleled clinical support.
Key Responsibilities
In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the success of our business unit by executing a comprehensive strategy that encompasses planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business unit strategies that align with corporate objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability for our Critical Care and Surgical product lines.
- Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing sales and marketing team, setting clear performance targets, tracking KPIs, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including hospital management, clinicians, and procurement teams, to identify business opportunities, facilitate product adoption, and build long-term partnerships.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with regulatory, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accurate demand forecasting, and seamless product availability across the Riyadh Region.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business performance, market dynamics, and growth initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of healthcare expertise, strategic acumen, and leadership prowess. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing business units or product lines within the healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry.
- Strategic & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management, with a track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Leadership & Coaching: Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to supervise, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, enabling you to engage effectively with hospital decision-makers, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Healthcare Knowledge: A deep understanding of critical care and surgical environments, clinical workflows, and the healthcare market dynamics in the Riyadh Region or similar markets.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Ability to analyze complex data, interpret market trends, and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
- Organizational Excellence: Strong time-management and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and execute multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication & Language: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Regulatory & Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements and a commitment to ethical business practices.
- Adaptability & Travel: Willingness to work on-site in hospital and clinical environments and travel within the Riyadh Region as needed to support business operations.
