Biomedical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Equipment Expertise: Demonstrate hands-on experience with a diverse range of medical equipment, including but not limited to dental equipment, ICU and life support systems, operating room (OR) devices, CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) equipment, as well as ultrasound and X-ray systems.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and proactively address potential issues before they escalate. Conduct corrective maintenance to restore functionality to malfunctioning devices promptly.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including service reports, equipment logs, and compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory documentation standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare professionals, facility managers, and other stakeholders to provide technical support, training, and guidance on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment. Facilitate clear and effective communication in both Arabic and English to bridge technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in biomedical engineering, with a proven track record in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of biomedical equipment systems, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life support devices. Familiarity with industry best practices and safety protocols.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose equipment issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English, enabling clear interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Documentation: Meticulous attention to detail in maintaining records, reports, and compliance documentation to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
