Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Maintenance Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Compliance and Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards, ensuring all maintenance activities align with regulatory and company policies.
• Scheduling and Resource Management: Develop and manage weekly and monthly maintenance schedules to balance operational demands with resource availability, minimizing production interruptions.
• Cost Control and Inventory Optimization: Monitor and control maintenance costs while optimizing spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available without overstocking.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and servicing of key equipment, including dissolvers, mixers, pumps, mills, compressors, and filling machines, to prevent failures and extend asset lifespan.
• Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to equipment failures, coordinating rapid corrective actions to restore operations swiftly and safely.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between planning, production, quality, procurement, HSE, and maintenance teams to align objectives and drive operational success.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and KPIs, and prepare periodic reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Liaise with external service providers, contractors, suppliers, and OEMs to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance support.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, operational acumen, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred. High Diploma holders with extensive hands-on experience in maintenance coordination may also be considered.
• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in maintenance coordination within manufacturing environments, with a preference for experience in the paint, chemical, or process industries.
• Hands-on experience with rotating and process equipment, including dissolvers, mixers, pumps, compressors, and filling systems, is essential.
• Proficiency in ERP systems for work order management, scheduling, and reporting is required.
• A strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, along with knowledge of HSE standards in chemical environments, is critical.
• Exceptional planning, organization, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement sustainable solutions.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
