Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Receptionist to join our team at the MyPet Clinic branch in Riyadh. The Reception & Sales Executive will serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. This role encompasses greeting visitors, managing phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and facilitating smooth client check-in and check-out processes. The Receptionist will also process payments, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with veterinary and nursing teams to optimize patient flow. Additionally, the ideal candidate will actively promote clinic services and products, explain treatment plans, and assist with in-clinic sales of medications, pet care products, and service packages. Responsibilities include performing general reception and clerical duties, maintaining an organized and inviting reception area, and providing empathetic, professional support to both clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Respond to client inquiries and efficiently manage appointment scheduling.
  • Handle client check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process payments and maintain precise records of transactions and client interactions.
  • Coordinate with veterinary and nursing teams to ensure smooth patient flow and operational efficiency.
  • Promote clinic services, products, and preventive care options to enhance client engagement.
  • Assist with in-clinic sales of medications, pet care products, and service packages.
  • Perform general reception and clerical duties, including data entry and administrative support.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area to reflect the clinic’s professional standards.
  • Provide empathetic and professional support to clients and their pets, particularly in high-stress situations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with clients both in person and over the phone. Proficiency in receptionist duties, including phone etiquette, visitor greeting, and inquiry handling, is essential. The ideal candidate will have solid clerical skills, such as data entry, appointment scheduling, record keeping, and basic administrative support. A sales aptitude is highly valued, as the role requires explaining and promoting clinic services, products, and preventive care programs in a clear and ethical manner.

This position demands the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail. Comfort working around animals and their owners is crucial, along with a calm and reassuring communication style, especially in stressful situations. Basic computer proficiency and experience with office software are required, while familiarity with clinic or practice management systems is considered an advantage. Previous experience in a reception, customer-facing, healthcare, veterinary, or medical setting is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in customer service, administration, or veterinary support is a plus.

Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service and contributing to the clinic’s growth and reputation as a trusted provider of veterinary care in Saudi Arabia.
