Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Network Security professional to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for administering and operating network security devices, maintaining expert-level knowledge of cutting-edge security technologies, and leading the delivery of process and system improvements. Your expertise will drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring that best practices are shared across the team to elevate our security posture. This position offers an opportunity to design and architect robust security solutions spanning both on-premises and cloud environments, while solving complex network and security challenges with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Security Administration and Operations: Oversee the administration and operation of network security devices, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with organizational security policies.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identify, enhance, and maximize the utilization of underused features within our current security solutions to deliver maximum value and operational efficiency.
• Security Solution Design and Architecture: Develop and implement comprehensive security solutions tailored to both on-premises and cloud-based environments, ensuring robust protection against evolving threats.
• Problem-Solving and Incident Response: Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills to rapidly identify, diagnose, and resolve network and security flaws, minimizing potential risks and downtime.
• Security Maintenance and Compliance: Ensure all security solutions are consistently patched, updated, and compliant with industry standards to maintain high levels of security and performance.
• Gap Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough assessments to identify gaps in our security framework and proactively recommend improvements to uphold stringent security and performance benchmarks.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network security engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation, accountability, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in network security, with a proven track record in the following technologies and fields:

• Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) Expertise: Proven experience with industry-leading solutions such as Fortinet, Palo Alto Firewalls, Sophos, F5 ASM LTM, FireEye EX/NX, Proofpoint, Aruba ClearPass, Forcepoint Proxy, Infoblox DNS Security, Pulse Secure VPN, and Cloudflare.
• Intrusion Protection/Detection Systems: In-depth knowledge of intrusion prevention and detection systems to safeguard against unauthorized access and malicious activities.
• Web/Application Firewalls: Experience in deploying and managing web and application firewalls to protect critical web applications from threats.
• Load Balancing Solutions: Proficiency in load balancers, particularly F5 LTM, to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of network services.
• Network Access Control (NAC) and Network Detection & Response (NDR): Familiarity with Cisco ISE NAC and NDR solutions to enforce security policies and detect anomalous network behavior.
• Sandboxing and Email Security: Experience with sandboxing technologies and email gateways to mitigate advanced threats and phishing attacks.
• Packet Capture and Analysis: Strong capabilities in packet capture and analysis methodologies to identify and resolve network anomalies and security incidents.
• AlgoSec Proxy Solutions: Knowledge of AlgoSec proxy solutions for managing and optimizing network security policies.

Candidates holding professional certifications such as CISSP, CCIE-Security, or F5 certifications will be given preference. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
