Role Overview

The Radiographer is a full-time, on-site position based in the Riyadh Region, playing a pivotal role in the complex’s diagnostic imaging services. This position requires a highly skilled professional capable of performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and care. The Radiographer will operate advanced radiologic equipment, position patients accurately to capture high-quality images, and adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, colleagues, and themselves. Responsibilities extend to maintaining meticulous patient records, ensuring the cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment and rooms, and collaborating closely with physicians and medical staff to clarify imaging requests and deliver optimal diagnostic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct radiographic procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging modalities, in accordance with physicians’ orders and clinical guidelines.
• Ensure Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks, utilizing appropriate protective measures for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain Equipment and Rooms: Ensure imaging equipment and rooms are clean, functional, and ready for use, performing routine checks and reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Patient Care and Communication: Explain imaging procedures to patients, address their concerns, and monitor for any adverse reactions during and after the procedure.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, regulatory standards, and infection control measures.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify imaging requests, interpret results, and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, adhering to best practices and contributing to the enhancement of diagnostic services.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A relevant diploma or degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid professional registration or licensure as required by local regulatory authorities in Saudi Arabia.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with contemporary imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, or other radiologic modalities, as well as familiarity with basic PACS/RIS systems.
• Clinical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of medical principles, clinical indications, patient histories, and multidisciplinary care plans to ensure accurate and effective imaging services.
• Safety and Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to radiation safety, infection control protocols, and adherence to standardized procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare team environment.
