Position Overview

Six Flags Qiddiya is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Rafting Guide to join our dynamic team at Aquarabia Water Theme Park. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, satisfaction, and exceptional experience of all guests while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. The Rafting Guide will serve as a frontline ambassador for Aquarabia Water Theme Park and Qiddiya, embodying our commitment to guest safety, adventure, and unparalleled service. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, physical endurance, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced aquatic environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Rafting Guide will be responsible for the following core duties and responsibilities:

• Guest Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety of all guests and colleagues within Aquarabia Water Theme Park, with a primary focus on preventing accidents and responding to emergencies. Conduct thorough safety checks on all rafting and aquatic attractions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
• Operational Excellence: Assist in the daily operations of all aquatic attractions and adventure experiences, including whitewater rafting, canyoneering, and other water-based activities. Monitor ride performance, conduct pre-ride briefings, and ensure adherence to operational protocols to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Emergency Response: Act as a first aid provider and respond to medical emergencies within the scope of certification and training. Maintain proficiency in emergency procedures, including CPR and first aid, to ensure swift and effective intervention when required.
• Guest Experience and Satisfaction: Engage with guests to enhance their experience by providing clear instructions, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to guest satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operational departments within Aquarabia Water Theme Park and Qiddiya Six Flags to ensure cohesive and efficient operations. Participate in cross-functional meetings, training sessions, and events as required by management.
• Adherence to Standards and Regulations: Comply with Aquarabia Water Theme Park and Qiddiya’s code of conduct, ethics, and operational regulations. Stay updated on local and international standards, including ILTP (International Lifeguard Training Program) requirements, and maintain relevant certifications.
• Physical Demands and Environmental Adaptability: Perform duties that require prolonged standing, walking, and accessing ride platforms multiple times per day. Work in diverse environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and sand, while maintaining a high level of energy and professionalism.
• Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of guest and colleague areas, including non-aquatic spaces. Contribute to the overall presentation and functionality of the park to create a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors.
• Flexible Scheduling: Work scheduled shifts, including holidays, weekends, and non-operational hours, as required by management. Participate in pre- and post-hours training, meetings, and events to support continuous improvement and operational success.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior experience in the hospitality, entertainment, amusement, or guest service industry, preferably in the Middle East or internationally. Hands-on experience with whitewater rafting, canyoneering, deep-water activities, rock climbing, or surfing is highly desirable.
• Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Basic computer skills are required, and fluency in Arabic is a strong asset.
• Certifications: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Special Facility ILTP Lifeguard License and relevant adventure experience certifications. Current certifications in first aid, CPR, and water rescue are essential.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Rafting Guide will operate in an outdoor aquatic environment, often exposed to varying weather conditions and physical demands. The role requires the ability to work long hours, including weekends, holidays, and non-standard shifts. Candidates must be prepared to stand for extended periods, navigate different elevations, and access ride platforms multiple times daily. Physical fitness, stamina, and adaptability are critical to performing the duties of this role effectively.
