About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Control Consultant to join the dynamic finance team at Al-Futtaim Automotive, a leading automotive company within the prestigious Al-Futtaim Group. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health of the organization by effectively managing credit policies, monitoring customer accounts, and mitigating risks associated with receivables. Key Responsibilities

• Credit Policy Management: Develop, implement, and enforce robust credit policies and procedures to safeguard the company’s financial interests while maintaining positive customer relationships. Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Customer Credit Evaluation: Conduct thorough credit assessments of new and existing customers, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to determine creditworthiness. Make informed decisions on credit limits and terms.
• Accounts Receivable Oversight: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and initiate timely follow-ups to ensure prompt payment. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes and facilitate collections.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential credit risks and implement strategies to minimize exposure. Work closely with the legal and finance teams to address delinquent accounts and initiate appropriate recovery actions when necessary.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including aging reports, credit exposure summaries, and collections performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the finance department, sales teams, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on credit terms and payment expectations. Foster strong relationships with customers to encourage timely payments and reduce defaults.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance credit control processes to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall financial performance. Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CICM are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial analysis, preferably within the automotive, retail, or manufacturing sectors. Experience in a multinational or large corporate environment is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of financial software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and credit management tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables, is essential.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret financial data, assess credit risks, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
• Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing credit-related issues.
