Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Assurance - External Audit Manager (Banking) to join our esteemed team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Oversee and manage the planning, execution, and completion of external audit engagements for banking clients, ensuring adherence to PwC’s methodologies and industry best practices.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong professional relationships and ensuring their needs are met with precision and timeliness.
• Risk Assessment & Compliance: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate internal controls to identify potential areas of concern, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports, financial statements, and management letters in accordance with international auditing standards (ISA) and regulatory frameworks, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Team Development: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the audit team.
• Regulatory Adherence: Stay abreast of evolving banking regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends to ensure audit engagements remain compliant with local and global requirements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders to provide updates on audit progress, findings, and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in external audit, with a strong focus on the banking sector. Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA). Familiarity with banking regulations and risk management frameworks is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
