Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Specialist to join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our organization’s technological infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of technical and operational duties, including:
- Technical Support: Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, responding to service requests via phone, email, ticketing systems, or in-person interactions.
- System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Software and Hardware Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications, system updates, and hardware components to align with organizational needs.
- Asset Tracking and Inventory: Assist in IT asset tracking, inventory management, and equipment setup, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient resource allocation.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Document technical issues and solutions in the service desk knowledge base, maintaining organized and accessible records for future reference.
- Escalation and Collaboration: Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams as needed, fostering a collaborative approach to problem resolution.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including hardware deployment, account setup, and system configuration to ensure seamless transitions for employees.
- System Monitoring and Performance: Continuously monitor the performance and availability of systems and networks, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- System Upgrades and Integration: Plan, test, and implement upgrades for information systems, integrating new software applications into existing systems to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Security and Compliance: Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data and systems, while also establishing protocols to maintain security and protect against unauthorized access or natural disasters.
- Training and Mentorship: Develop tools, procedures, and training sessions for Operations, Client Support, and Systems Development staff, mentoring team members and educating users on system administration best practices.
- Server and Data Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers and data storage systems, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
- Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in system administration, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role, contributing to the overall success of the IT team and the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- IT Specialist: 0–2 years of experience in IT support or application support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Senior IT Specialist: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or application support within a healthcare environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of system administration for complex operating systems.
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical systems.
- Expertise in monitoring system performance and availability.
- Ability to develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills for maintaining technical records.
- Leadership and mentoring skills to guide team members and educate users.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of oral and written English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.

- CompTIA A+
- Help Desk Institute Support Center Analyst (HDI-SCA)
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
