As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, maintaining merchandising standards, and fostering strong customer relationships to support our mission of growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Merchandiser within the KSA sales team, your primary responsibilities will revolve around maximizing sales volume, ensuring the achievement of distribution targets, and maintaining high levels of customer service. You will be tasked with implementing agreed merchandising standards, minimizing stales, and collecting accounts receivable while adhering to operating procedures to ensure consistency across the region. Your role will also involve providing your supervisor with up-to-date market insights to identify and develop sales opportunities. Additionally, you will attend training programs designed to enhance professionalism and customer service skills, and complete daily debriefings with your supervisor to review performance and plan for the day ahead.

Core Duties and Expectations

• Sales Execution: Sell the full range of PepsiCo products to an agreed list of customers, with sales performance measured against predefined targets. Ensure that levels of stales (unsold or expired products) remain below the targets set by your supervisor.
• Customer Service: Deliver the service standards approved by your supervisor, maintaining call frequencies and daily route plans to ensure customer satisfaction. Your supervisor will review the customers visited daily during debriefing sessions to assess performance and alignment with goals.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks as outlined in operating procedures. You are responsible for keeping the sales vehicle clean, roadworthy, and in compliance with safety regulations. Report any defects or damage to your supervisor immediately.
• Order Fulfillment: Supply customer orders promptly and accurately, ensuring all delivery arrangements are clearly communicated and executed as planned.
• Inventory Management: Maintain individual customer stock levels in accordance with agreed requirements to minimize out-of-stock issues and ensure product availability.
• Merchandising Standards: Implement in-store merchandising standards as communicated by your supervisor. Collaborate with company merchandisers, where applicable, to ensure consistency and effectiveness in retail execution.
• Market Intelligence: Provide your supervisor with timely updates on competitor activity within your assigned area to inform strategic decisions and sales opportunities.
• Financial Reconciliation: Conduct daily reconciliation of all cheques, cash, and credit sales to ensure accuracy and accountability in financial transactions.
• Professional Appearance and Conduct: Maintain a neat and presentable appearance at all times, adhering to company grooming standards. Demonstrate a high standard of driving and comply with all traffic regulations to ensure safety and reliability.
