Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Work Permit Receiver (WPR) – C2 to join our dynamic team as a full-time, on-site C2 Certified Engineer & Technician in Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role is instrumental in supporting high-stakes energy infrastructure projects, ensuring the safe execution of high-risk electrical and construction activities in strict adherence to Saudi Energy (SE) standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Work Permit Receiver (WPR) for critical Saudi energy projects, overseeing the entire permit lifecycle from request to closure.
- Request, receive, verify, and manage work permits for high-risk electrical and civil activities, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Enforce rigorous compliance with Saudi Energy work permit procedures, isolation protocols, and safety regulations to mitigate operational risks.
- Collaborate closely with SE operations, construction teams, and contractors to facilitate seamless and safe work execution.
- Validate that all pre-work safety measures, risk assessments, and hazard controls are rigorously implemented prior to commencing any activity.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of work activities to ensure strict adherence to permit conditions and approved safety protocols.
- Participate actively in site inspections, toolbox talks, and proactive incident prevention initiatives to foster a culture of safety.
- Maintain meticulous records of permit documentation, compliance reports, and safety-related data to support audit trails and regulatory reviews.
- Provide expert support to project teams in achieving safety, quality, and operational objectives while upholding the highest regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Possession of a valid Saudi Energy (SE) Work Permit Receiver (WPR) – C2 Certificate is mandatory; all 12 required certificates must be current and up to date.
- Proven experience working on Saudi energy sector projects, particularly those involving high-risk electrical and construction activities.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, safe isolation methods, and hazard identification techniques.
- Strong familiarity with Saudi Energy safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and contractor compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, safety-critical project environments while maintaining unwavering attention to detail.
