Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PMO Coordinator – Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will serve as the backbone of our Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring seamless project governance, meticulous planning, and rigorous performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities
The PMO Coordinator – Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting project governance, planning, and performance tracking within the PMO framework. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning & Control:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and organizational goals.
- Monitor project progress against established baselines, including scope, time, and cost, to identify variances and trends.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to validate technical inputs, ensuring accuracy and feasibility of project deliverables.
- Support the identification of risks, issues, and mitigation strategies, proactively addressing potential disruptions to project timelines.
- Track critical project milestones and escalate deviations to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and industry standards to maintain consistency and quality.
- PMO Governance & Reporting:
- Enforce compliance with PMO processes, templates, and standards to ensure uniformity across projects.
- Prepare and distribute project dashboards and performance reports, providing clear insights into project health and progress.
- Support portfolio-level reporting and analysis to facilitate data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
- Maintain centralized PMO documentation and records, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for all stakeholders.
- Assist in project audits and reviews, identifying opportunities for process improvements and corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Technical Coordination:
- Review engineering deliverables for completeness, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards (note: this role does not include approval authority).
- Coordinate with technical teams to facilitate timely submissions and resolve interdependencies between engineering disciplines.
- Support the integration of engineering deliverables into the broader project framework.
- Authority & Accountability:
- Monitor and report project performance to the PMO and senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Enforce adherence to PMO standards and processes, ensuring all projects operate within established frameworks.
- Escalate risks, delays, and compliance issues to the appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Act as a liaison between project teams, engineering departments, and PMO leadership to foster collaboration and alignment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to:
- Deliver accurate and timely project reporting, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architecture, or related field).
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in project coordination, PMO roles, or a related capacity within an engineering environment.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies, with a preference for PMI or equivalent certifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
