Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, onsite Senior Project Manager to lead the strategic execution of a transformative Cloud and AI initiative. This pivotal role involves overseeing the deployment of a unified, AI-powered ecosystem on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), seamlessly integrated with enterprise operational systems such as ERPs, Information Systems, and Learning/Training Platforms. The successful candidate will provide dedicated leadership from project inception through final delivery, ensuring robust governance, seamless execution, and alignment with key stakeholders throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Program Governance & Execution

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive governance and execution of the program, including:

• End-to-End Leadership: Providing overall accountability for program governance, leading steering committee meetings, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating phase-gate reviews to ensure adherence to strategic objectives.
• Schedule Management: Overseeing Master Schedule Reviews and maintaining rigorous project-level governance, including continuous tracking of project timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies across all phases.
• Resource Coordination: Managing the delivery of a large-scale consulting and engineering effort, coordinating specialized technical teams across multiple implementation phases to ensure cohesive and efficient execution.
• Project Planning: Developing and presenting a detailed, task-level Microsoft Project (.mpp) plan to the Steering Committee immediately following the Onsite Discovery phase and finalization of the Business Requirements Document (BRD).

Stakeholder & Scope Management

Effective stakeholder engagement and scope management are critical to the success of this role. Responsibilities include:

• Onsite Coordination: Operating onsite at the client’s headquarters during critical phases, including Mobilization and Discovery Workshops, to facilitate direct collaboration and alignment.
• Workflow Mapping: Facilitating in-person coordination with business units and IT departments to accurately document and optimize operational workflows prior to remote engineering activities.
• Agile Scope Flexibility: Managing an execution buffer to accommodate reasonable scope adjustments, such as the integration of new AI use cases, without compromising project momentum or introducing unnecessary bottlenecks.
• Change Control: Implementing formal Change Request processes for significant functional requirements that expand the architectural scope, including complex integrations with financial ERPs or payment gateways.

Technical Delivery Accountability

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the technical delivery of the program, ensuring alignment with design, integration, and AI implementation objectives:

• Design & Foundation: Leading the Discovery phase, High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and the Cloud Foundation Build to establish a robust and scalable technical architecture.
• Integration & Data: Overseeing the deployment of the Data Fabric, API onboarding processes, and deep integrations with internal systems, including Document AI pipelines.
• AI Implementation: Driving the successful rollout of Digital Assistant MVPs, custom SaaS workspaces, and Machine Learning Model prototypes to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
• Training & Handover: Ensuring comprehensive Knowledge Transfer and Training for the client’s staff, culminating in a formal operational handover to internal Operations and Support teams.

Testing & Commercials

The role also encompasses critical responsibilities related to quality assurance and financial administration:

• Quality Assurance: Leading and governing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across all project phases and domains to validate deliverables and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Financial Administration: Managing project commercials, milestone tracking, and invoicing, with a strong emphasis on ensuring that phase-based invoices are only issued upon the successful completion of UAT and formal client sign-off.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess relevant experience:

• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager leading large-scale IT infrastructure projects, with a strong preference for Cloud (GCP) and Data/AI implementations.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in project management tools, particularly Microsoft Project, to develop and maintain detailed project plans.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to engage with both technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders, bridging communication gaps and fostering alignment.
• Client-Facing Leadership: Ability to thrive in an onsite, client-facing environment, navigating complex organizational dynamics and driving project success.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management or a related discipline, with a proven ability to deliver completed projects.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Valid Iqama (Transferable): Must possess a valid Iqama for employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
• Availability: Ready to commence the role within 30 days of acceptance.
