FinOps Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FinOps Associate to join our Capital team in KSA. This role serves as the primary financial liaison for merchant-related operations, ensuring seamless payouts, settlements, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Legal, Risk, and Compliance, to resolve financial and system-related challenges while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. Key Responsibilities

• Primary Finance Point of Contact: Act as the dedicated finance representative for merchant-related financial operations, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to payouts, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Sales, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to address operational and system-related financial discrepancies, ensuring alignment on payout logic, settlement models, and merchant configurations.
• Financial Clarifications & Support: Provide clear and concise financial explanations to internal stakeholders, facilitating understanding of complex financial processes such as payout logic, fee structures, VAT calculations, and offsets.
• Payout & Reconciliation Management: Prepare, validate, and reconcile merchant payouts, fees, VAT, and offsets across internal systems, ERP platforms, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Bank & Payment Partner Liaison: Coordinate with banks and payment partners to resolve failed, delayed, or reversed transfers, ensuring merchants receive timely and accurate payouts.
• Process & Model Implementation: Support the rollout of new payout models, market expansions, or financial processes from a FinOps perspective, ensuring smooth integration and adherence to financial policies.
• Documentation & Training: Assist in developing internal documentation, FAQs, and training materials to enhance team knowledge and operational efficiency.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial operations and propose actionable solutions to enhance accuracy, reduce errors, and streamline processes.
• Month-End Close & Audit Support: Play a key role in month-end close activities and provide assistance during internal and external audits to ensure compliance and financial integrity.
• Adaptability & Additional Duties: Demonstrate flexibility to perform other duties as required to support the smooth functioning of financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Professional Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Financial Operations, Payments Operations, Accounting, or FinTech-related roles, with a strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for handling large datasets and performing reconciliations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
