Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer, spearheading the company’s finance function through a transformative phase marked by governance enhancement and preparation for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). This pivotal role demands a dynamic executive with the vision and operational expertise to transition an entrepreneurial enterprise into a robust, publicly listed organization. The CFO will collaborate closely with the CEO, shareholders, Board of Directors, external advisors, auditors, investment banks, and regulatory bodies to establish a finance infrastructure capable of supporting long-term growth and compliance with public market standards.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Stewardship

The CFO will oversee all aspects of the finance function, including accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and financial control. This encompasses ensuring the timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as well as developing robust budgeting and forecasting processes that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will enforce financial discipline across the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

IPO Readiness & Capital Markets Integration

A central focus of this position will be leading the finance workstreams critical to IPO preparation. The CFO will coordinate with external auditors, financial advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with listing requirements. Responsibilities include supporting due diligence processes, preparing historical financial information, and establishing governance structures that meet the standards of a publicly traded company. Additionally, the CFO will develop investor-grade financial reporting to enhance transparency and market confidence.

Business Performance Optimization

The CFO will drive financial performance by developing comprehensive KPI dashboards for executive management, enabling data-driven decision-making. This includes conducting profitability analysis by channel, product, geography, and customer segment, as well as implementing margin improvement initiatives. The role will also focus on enhancing inventory management and working capital performance, while providing financial analytics to support pricing strategies and commercial decision-making.

Finance Transformation & Scalability

To support the company’s growth trajectory, the CFO will lead the transformation of finance processes and internal controls, ensuring alignment with best practices. This involves maximizing the value of the SAP ERP platform, implementing scalable reporting capabilities, and establishing policies and procedures that facilitate continued expansion. The role will also focus on building a finance team capable of meeting the demands of a publicly listed entity.

Strategic Finance & M&A Support

The CFO will play a key role in evaluating capital allocation decisions, supporting banking relationships, and managing financing activities. Additionally, the role will involve assessing acquisition opportunities, from initial financial due diligence through post-merger integration, to drive value creation. The CFO will actively participate in strategic planning initiatives, contributing to long-term value creation and sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a proven track record as a CFO or Deputy CFO in a medium-to-large organization.
• IPO Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading an IPO or preparing a company for public listing.
• Team Leadership: Proven ability to manage finance teams comprising at least 30 professionals.
• Regional Expertise: Experience working within GCC markets.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and experience collaborating with Big Four auditors.
• Transformation Experience: Proven track record in leading finance transformation projects and optimizing ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Functional Expertise: Comprehensive experience in budgeting, FP&A, treasury, financial control, tax, and financial reporting.
