Your Role as a Maintenance Technician

As an integral part of KONE’s service operations, you will serve as an everyday hero, ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our customers’ equipment. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining high service standards, enhancing equipment efficiency, and fostering strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for performing regular maintenance checks, addressing call-outs, and ensuring proactive communication with customers and end-users to deliver a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Relationship Management:
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality service and maintaining clear, proactive, and precise on-site communication, including timely updates on callout ETAs and job completion.
  • Accurately and promptly report all work performed at the equipment level to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor and ensure equipment safety and performance, identifying potential risks and escalating high-risk situations immediately to your supervisor.
  • Proactively identify unplanned service repairs based on equipment needs to prevent downtime and enhance reliability.
• Service Operations:
  • Prioritize the safety of end-users and the site by adhering to strict safety protocols and maintenance instructions.
  • Execute service visits, including planned maintenance, callouts, and service repairs, while respecting schedules, time limits, quality standards, and established processes.
  • Identify and raise sales leads to your supervisor to support business growth opportunities.
  • Maintain service tooling, vans, instruments, and other equipment in safe, well-functioning, and organized condition.

Are You the Right Candidate?

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Hold an ITI/Vocational Certificate, Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Automation), or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess strong verbal and written English communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
• Demonstrate basic IT skills and a solid digital foundation to leverage technology in your daily tasks.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in preventive maintenance within a reputable elevator company.
