Position Overview
Western Door Federal, a proud member of the Seneca Nation Group (SNG) portfolio, is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator – Azure Cloud to provide critical onsite support to our State Department customer in Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional IT solutions to federal civilian, defense, and intelligence community customers. As part of a dedicated 9-person team, you will serve as a Microsoft Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of Microsoft Azure cloud environments, Office 365, and related systems. This position requires an active SECRET clearance and is open to U.S. citizens with a valid passport and the ability to obtain Department of State medical clearances.
Key Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator – Azure Cloud will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cloud Strategy Development: Co-author and execute a comprehensive Microsoft Office 365 and Azure cloud strategy, aligning with organizational goals and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Device and System Management: Configure, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize device management tools, including provisioning, de-provisioning, remote support, and diagnosis. Establish and enforce policies and procedures for device management to enhance security and efficiency.
- System Monitoring and Optimization: Ensure the reliability and uptime of system hardware, operating systems, and software by monitoring performance metrics and applying necessary updates. Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Process and Documentation Development: Develop, review, and maintain IT processes, procedures, maintenance guidelines, and documentation to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with the Engineering team to define and execute mission-critical technical strategies. Provide technical analysis, design solutions, and support operational staff in testing and rolling out new solutions.
- Helpdesk Support: Serve as Tier 2 support for helpdesk-related issues, including computer provisioning, hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft-based solutions, including Azure AD, Endpoint Manager, Active Directory, Office 365, GPO Management, Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems, and PowerShell.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments, with a deep understanding of system administration best practices.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Leadership experience in driving major changes is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with a valid U.S. passport and the ability to obtain medical clearances from the Department of State's Medical Bureau.
