Security Assurance Solutions Architect, AWS Security Assurance Services

Position Overview

As a Security Assurance Solutions Architect specializing in AWS Security Assurance Services, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust security frameworks for enterprise clients within the AWS ecosystem. This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is part of the AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch), where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge security solutions that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Architecture Design: Develop and architect comprehensive security solutions tailored to AWS environments, ensuring alignment with client-specific needs, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend strategic mitigations to enhance the security posture of AWS deployments.
• Compliance & Governance: Collaborate with clients to ensure adherence to global security standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and regional regulatory frameworks applicable in the Middle East.
• Security Automation & Innovation: Leverage AWS-native security tools and third-party solutions to automate security processes, improve incident response times, and drive operational efficiency.
• Client Engagement & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on security best practices, emerging threats, and AWS security service integrations to strengthen their cloud security strategies.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with AWS internal teams, including Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Professional Services, to deliver cohesive security solutions and support go-to-market initiatives.
• Training & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor internal teams and clients on AWS security services, conducting workshops, and creating documentation to foster a culture of security awareness.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise, industry certifications, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of AWS security services, including IAM, GuardDuty, Macie, Inspector, and Security Hub, along with experience in designing secure cloud architectures.
• Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent credentials demonstrating expertise in security architecture and governance.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in information security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security, preferably within AWS environments.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regional and international compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and Middle Eastern data protection regulations.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities to articulate complex security concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; additional proficiency in Arabic is advantageous for client interactions in the region.
