Shift Production Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Production Engineer to oversee day-to-day production operations, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure quality and key performance indicator (KPI) accountability on the factory floor.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production engineering, with a proven track record of running production shifts in a manufacturing environment. This role involves managing shift production targets, quality, and safety standards, as well as driving LEAN activities, cell design, and waste reduction strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing shift production targets, quality, and safety standards
• Driving LEAN activities, cell design, and waste reduction
• Facilitating new product introductions into manufacturing operations
• Developing and maintaining production documentation and standard work instructions
• Implementing FMEA and Poka-Yoke methodologies
• Planning plant start-up/shut-down and responding to breakdowns
• Contributing to production budgeting and KPI management

Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent Diploma) and have 10-12 years of experience as a Production Engineer. Shift work is required, and strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with SAP or NetSuite, HSE and 5S standards, and experience in automotive or steel fabrication manufacturing, particularly with fabrication, assembly, or plating processes, would be highly advantageous.
