Key Responsibilities

The Transportation Coordinator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the Sales team to develop and execute daily and weekly transport plans, ensuring the timely dispatch of fresh, UHT, and food products to depots while optimizing the utilization of refrigerated vehicles within approved weight limits.
• Yard Operations Management: Oversee all yard activities to ensure they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Documentation and Compliance: Verify the accuracy of all transport documentation, validate driver compliance with regulatory requirements, and confirm the correct dispatch of products to depots within agreed delivery timelines.
• Safety and Risk Management: Champion safe transport operations by promoting best practices and supporting the achievement of annual safety and accident reduction targets. Monitor compliance with transport SOPs and proactively escalate any process gaps or improvement opportunities to senior management.
• Team Supervision: Lead and supervise transport staff to ensure operational objectives are met, and promptly address any operational challenges that may arise.
• Hygiene and Housekeeping: Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping across hub accommodation facilities, ensuring full compliance with established hygiene protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
• Educational Background: A recognized computer qualification or a high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates holding additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is mandatory to support data management and reporting.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination role is preferred.
