Azure FinOps & Cloud Cost Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Azure FinOps & Cloud Cost Analyst to drive our cloud cost management strategy. This role involves monitoring and analyzing Azure consumption, charges, and spending trends, as well as identifying and implementing optimization opportunities to reduce costs.

• Monitor and analyze Azure consumption, charges, and spending trends.
• Reconcile Azure invoices and cost management data.
• Analyze cost by various dimensions such as subscription, resource group, and business unit.
• Maintain monthly cost reporting and explain material changes.
• Track Azure credit burn rate and forecast expected depletion dates.
• Support cost allocation and data-quality improvements for tags and ownership information.
• Identify and quantify optimization opportunities, and track recommendations through implementation.
• Forecast Azure spend and consumption, and prepare monthly dashboards.
• Provide Azure actuals, forecast, and variance inputs to the IT budget owner.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in cloud cost management or a closely related role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cost Management + Billing.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and Power Query; Power BI is preferred.
• The ability to translate technical consumption data into clear financial insights.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical reasoning, stakeholder coordination, and documentation discipline.
