Job Purpose
The Risk Management Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Salehiya’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Audit and Risk. This position demands a deep understanding of risk management processes, including risk identification, assessment, evaluation, treatment, and monitoring. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling them to deliver training sessions and facilitate risk workshops for management and staff. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to align risk management activities with organizational objectives. Proficiency in established risk management and control frameworks, such as COSO, COSO ERM, and ISO 31000, is required, along with strong analytical abilities to interpret risk data and proactively address emerging risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Maintain and update the corporate risk register, ensuring timely input from all departments. Follow up on risk mitigation actions with designated risk owners and track the implementation status of controls, testing their effectiveness.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare periodic risk reports and dashboards for senior management and the Audit Committee. Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and initiate corrective actions or escalate issues when thresholds are exceeded.
- Collaboration & Awareness: Work closely with risk champions across departments to support risk identification, updates, and awareness initiatives. Review and validate risks reported by management as part of continuous monitoring efforts.
- Workshop Coordination: Organize, schedule, and document risk workshops and related meetings, ensuring seamless execution and knowledge sharing.
- Documentation & Policy: Develop and maintain risk-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and templates. Assist in setting and reviewing the organization’s risk appetite and tolerance levels.
- Emerging Risks & Tools: Monitor internal and external developments for potential emerging risks and escalate as needed. Provide administrative support for risk management software or tools and ensure training materials are current.
- Support & Special Projects: Deliver risk awareness sessions and support internal audit and compliance functions with risk-related insights. Respond to ad hoc requests and assist in special projects or initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CRMA, IRMCert, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
