As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in maximising the performance and profitability of our high-value hospitality assets. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, combining financial acumen with operational insight to make data-driven decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, development, legal, and technical departments, to align strategic objectives with day-to-day asset management. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial and Operational Oversight: Monitor the commercial and financial performance of a diverse portfolio of hospitality assets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and ownership goals.
  • Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of budgets, forecasts, business plans, and operating results to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop robust financial models, investment appraisals, cash flow forecasts, and business cases to support capital investment decisions and asset repositioning initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Reporting and Communication: Prepare executive-level reports and performance presentations for senior management and investment stakeholders, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to drive decision-making.
  • Operator Performance Management: Review and evaluate hotel operator performance, ensuring compliance with management agreements and agreed business objectives. Act as a liaison between ownership and operators to foster productive relationships and resolve performance-related issues.
  • Capital and Budget Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning to optimise asset performance and ROI. Support strategic initiatives, including asset repositioning and long-term portfolio optimisation.
  • Market Intelligence and Benchmarking: Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and best practices in hospitality asset management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, development, legal, and technical teams to align operational strategies with investment goals, ensuring seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with hotel operators, consultants, and external advisors, representing ownership interests during commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and performance reviews.
  • Transaction Support: Assist in acquisitions, feasibility studies, and strategic initiatives to enhance portfolio value and drive long-term growth.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of financial expertise, operational insight, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CAIA, or MBA) is advantageous.
  • Experience: Approximately 5-8 years of progressive experience in hotel asset management, hospitality consulting, real estate investment, corporate finance, or senior hotel operations. Experience within luxury or upscale hospitality assets is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, including valuation, forecasting, and investment analysis. Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint is essential; experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of hotel management agreements, hospitality KPIs, revenue management, and owner reporting. Familiarity with regional market dynamics and trends is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. Ability to influence senior internal and external partners, coupled with a commercially minded approach and keen attention to detail.
