AV IT Operations Technician (events/hybrid)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AV IT Operations Technician to join our team on a permanent basis, reporting to the IT Lead in Riyadh, KSA. This role is focused on supporting the IT and AV setup for live and hybrid events, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in hybrid/live-event AV and networking.

• Responsibilities include:
• Planning internet bandwidth for events and reviewing hotel RFPs.
• Shipping and installing network/Wi-Fi kits at event locations.
• Managing IT setup during event days, including starting Zoom sessions, checking internet connections, supporting VPN/RDP access, projectors, wireless microphones, and recording quality.
• Escalating technical issues with hotel IT teams and managing backup connectivity.
• Supporting post-event inventory/reporting and providing HQ IT support between events.
• Assisting with IT purchasing.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A BSc in Computer Science and 5-7 years of experience in an IT role.
• Advanced user experience in Salesforce and MS Office.
• Strong networking, Wi-Fi, VPN/RDP setup experience.
• Fluency in English, with Arabic being strongly preferred.
• Comfort with frequent international travel for events.

While not required, a CompTIA Network+ certification or PMI project management certification would be an asset.

Please note that while general IT support experience is valuable, the most important requirement for this role is live/hybrid event IT and AV experience.
