Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service Specialist

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a PCMCS Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced financial solutions using Oracle PCMCS. Your responsibilities will include:

• Solution Design & Development: Architect and deploy Oracle PCMCS models to support complex cost allocation and profitability analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial governance standards.
• Configuration & Management: Configure and maintain allocation rules, rule sets, and calculation logic within PCMCS to enable accurate and efficient financial processes.
• Business Rule Implementation: Develop and manage driver-based allocations, multi-stage cost allocations, and business rules to reflect organizational cost structures and financial workflows.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration of PCMCS models into existing financial frameworks.
• Data Integration & Management: Utilize Oracle Data Management (FDMEE) or alternative integration tools to facilitate seamless data loading, transformation, and synchronization across systems.
• Model Optimization: Build and maintain profitability models, hierarchies, dimensions, and metadata to support dynamic financial reporting and decision-making.
• Reporting & Analytics: Create and manage insightful reports, dashboards, and analysis views using PCMCS and Smart View to provide actionable financial insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Performance & Compliance: Optimize application performance, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure adherence to financial standards, governance policies, and audit requirements.
• Testing & Deployment: Conduct rigorous unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive technical and functional documentation for models, processes, and workflows, and provide guidance to end-users on system functionalities.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following expertise and competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PCMCS (EPM Cloud), including configuration of allocation rules, driver-based costing, and multi-dimensional financial models.
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of cost allocation methodologies, profitability analysis, and financial processes such as General Ledger (GL), cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Data Integration Expertise: Experience with Oracle Data Management (FDMEE) or other data integration tools to ensure accurate and efficient data flows between systems.
• EPM Fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of EPM dimensions, hierarchies, metadata management, and Smart View for reporting and analysis.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and resolve technical or functional challenges with a systematic approach.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic proficiency in SQL and data handling concepts to support troubleshooting and system enhancements.
