Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance & Supply Chain Head to lead the financial and operational backbone of our rapidly expanding business across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. This pivotal role will oversee a comprehensive portfolio of responsibilities, including finance, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing partner management, warehousing, inventory control, and logistics. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of driving financial excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth while ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with regional and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance & Supply Chain Head will play a critical role in shaping the financial and operational strategy of the company. The responsibilities include:
- Finance & Accounting Leadership:
- Spearhead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to align with business objectives.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial reports, and KPI dashboards to senior leadership.
- Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimization, and profitability analysis by channel and product category.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations.
- Coordinate annual audits, statutory reporting, and ensure full compliance with Saudi regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Procurement & Strategic Sourcing:
- Lead procurement activities for packaging, raw materials, finished goods, marketing materials, and services.
- Negotiate favorable commercial agreements with suppliers to maximize cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement supplier scorecards to evaluate performance and drive accountability.
- Streamline purchasing processes and improve payment terms to enhance working capital management.
- Establish robust procurement controls and approval workflows to mitigate risks.
- Manufacturing Partner Management:
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturers, OEMs, and ODM partners to ensure seamless production operations.
- Coordinate production planning, replenishment, and capacity utilization with manufacturing partners.
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs, including service levels, quality metrics, and cost performance.
- Support new product launches by ensuring production readiness and supply chain alignment.
- Negotiate manufacturing costs and conduct annual pricing reviews to maintain competitiveness.
- Develop contingency plans with backup suppliers and manufacturing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
- Design and implement demand planning and inventory forecasting processes to optimize stock levels.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels across all SKUs to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Monitor inventory turnover ratios and working capital efficiency to enhance financial performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners and sales teams to align inventory planning with market demand.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee warehouse operations and third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient storage and distribution.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle counting and compliance with SOPs.
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse productivity, order fulfillment, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and enforce warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational controls.
- Logistics & Distribution:
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Optimize transportation and delivery costs while maintaining service level agreements.
- Ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment of customer orders across all distribution channels.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics providers to uphold service standards.
- Support replenishment requirements for distributors, pharmacies, and retail partners to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Systems & Process Improvement:
- Enhance ERP systems and financial reporting tools to improve data accuracy and decision-making.
- Implement operational KPIs and real-time dashboards to monitor performance across all functions.
- Drive automation and process efficiency initiatives to reduce manual interventions and enhance scalability.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across finance, procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics functions.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance, procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics professionals.
- Set clear performance objectives, accountability frameworks, and career development plans for team members.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability-building initiatives to align with the company’s growth trajectory.
Qualifications & Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA, or Supply Chain certifications are highly advantageous.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, procurement, supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics management.
- Proven track record in the beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce sectors.
- Hands-on experience managing contract manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Prior experience working in the GCC region is preferred but not mandatory.
