Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT)

As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will play a pivotal role in staging, setting up, and performing hardware deployments. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, perform hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures, and contribute to a positive team environment.

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying and resolving issues with minimal customer and business disruption.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Microsoft data center operations management units, Technician Leads, and engineering specialists.
• Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks.
• Complete required training and gain hands-on experience through observation of more experienced technicians.
• Contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information, participating in regular team meetings, and staying apprised of others' work status.
• Display pride and accountability for service quality, completeness, and resulting user experience, embodying our culture and values.

Qualifications: High school diploma, or equivalent, and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, along with experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
