Master Planning & Reporting Engineer (HQ) - (Saudization)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Planning & Reporting Engineer (HQ) - (Saudization) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing critical urban water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems while ensuring environmental sustainability and strict adherence to regulatory standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping integrated, sustainable urban solutions that meet the evolving needs of communities and infrastructure networks.

Key Responsibilities

As a Master Planning & Reporting Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Infrastructure Design and Management: Develop and manage comprehensive plans for water distribution networks, sewage collection and treatment systems, stormwater management, and water resource optimization to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable urban water systems.
• Feasibility Studies and Assessments: Conduct in-depth feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of urban development projects, considering environmental impact, economic feasibility, technical constraints, and regulatory compliance. Provide data-driven recommendations to inform decision-making and align projects with urban planning objectives.
• Environmental Impact Evaluation: Assess the potential environmental effects of urban development initiatives, including air and water pollution, habitat disruption, and energy consumption. Develop strategies to mitigate negative impacts and promote sustainable development practices.
• Wet Infrastructure Planning and Coordination: Analyze and plan the optimal layout of wet infrastructure systems within urban environments. Collaborate with transportation and utility networks to ensure seamless integration, considering factors such as population density, land use patterns, and transportation demands.
• Regulatory Compliance and Permitting: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Review project designs, specifications, and construction plans to verify compliance with safety, accessibility, and environmental requirements. Liaise with regulatory authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with urban planners, architects, developers, government agencies, and community stakeholders to foster integrated solutions that address the needs of urban communities. Provide technical expertise and facilitate effective communication among all parties involved in project implementation.
• Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize advanced data analysis and modeling techniques to assess and predict the performance of urban infrastructure systems. Analyze population growth trends, traffic patterns, energy consumption, and other critical data to inform strategic planning decisions and optimize infrastructure design and operation.
• Policy and Procedure Adherence: Maintain a thorough understanding of Hill International’s Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies, manuals, and procedures. Ensure continuous compliance with these requirements throughout your tenure with the organization.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned by your line manager or supervisor to support the overall objectives of the team and the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Urban Planning from an accredited university.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field, with a proven track record in master planning for water and wastewater services.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in collecting master plan data and producing detailed reports. Ability to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to infrastructure performance and project outcomes.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and present technical information clearly.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and international regulations governing urban infrastructure, environmental impact assessments, and safety standards.
