Key Responsibilities

As the Finance Operations - Reconciliation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial reconciliation processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Reconciliation Leadership: Lead the reconciliation and balancing analysis of pool accounts and customer transactions, ensuring timely and accurate generation of summary reconciliation reports while identifying and highlighting required actions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Digital, Safeguarding, and Customer Care departments to resolve reconciliation discrepancies, customer claims, and related issues, fostering a cohesive and solution-oriented approach.
• Risk Management & Escalation: Promptly resolve or escalate any risks or unresolved issues, ensuring compliance with reconciliation controls and processes while maintaining the highest standards of financial diligence.
• Process Optimization: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of daily and periodic reconciliation activities, driving continuous operational excellence.
• Data Integrity & Reporting: Coordinate the collection, verification, and summarization of financial data, run applicable models, verify their accuracy, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively.
• Regulatory & Technical Expertise: Maintain and upgrade your knowledge of core banking and accounting reconciliation principles, prepare general ledger reconciliations, and execute ad-hoc requests and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field. Alternatively, relevant years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Professional Experience: Five to eight years of hands-on experience in a similar reconciliation or financial operations role, with a proven track record of managing complex financial processes.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and computerized ledger systems, are essential for success in this position.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic is required to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Certification & Competencies: A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred. Additionally, you should demonstrate intermediate proficiency in self-actualization, team synergy, entrepreneurial mindset, and business acumen.
