Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at KONE, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the safety, performance, and reliability of our elevator and escalator systems. You will serve as a frontline professional, ensuring seamless operations and addressing customer needs with precision and professionalism. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s daily lives by maintaining state-of-the-art equipment and promoting proactive communication with clients and end-users. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular maintenance checks, responding to service calls, and implementing corrective actions to uphold the highest safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Relationship Management:
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery and proactive, transparent on-site communication, including accurate ETAs and detailed job reports.
  • Provide real-time back reporting of all work performed at the equipment level.
  • Uphold equipment safety and performance standards by adhering to established protocols.
  • Identify and communicate site risks to your supervisor, taking immediate corrective action when necessary and following escalation procedures.
  • Recognize and report unplanned service repairs based on equipment requirements.
• Service Operations:
  • Prioritize the safety of end-users and site personnel by adhering to maintenance and safety guidelines.
  • Execute service visits, including planned maintenance, callouts, and service repairs, while respecting schedules, time limits, quality standards, and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to generate sales leads and communicate these to your supervisor.
  • Submit accurate and timely timesheets based on completed work.
  • Maintain service tooling, vehicles, instruments, and equipment in safe, operational, and well-conditioned states.
  • Provide regular updates to your supervisor on all relevant operational information.

Qualifications and Requirements

• ITI/Vocational Certificate, Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Automation), or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in verbal and written English.
• Basic IT skills are preferred.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting within a reputable elevator company.
• A valid GCC driving license is advantageous.
