About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring that our advertising and signage projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and innovation. Key Responsibilities

The Technical Engineer will play a multifaceted role, encompassing technical, administrative, and collaborative responsibilities. Your primary duties will include:

• Technical Analysis and Execution: Accurately interpret 3D and AutoCAD designs to identify practical production solutions that align with project objectives. Your ability to analyze complex technical drawings will ensure seamless execution from concept to completion.
• Engineering Documentation: Prepare and issue detailed, accurate technical and engineering files, including Bill of Materials (BOM) that outline the optimal materials and components required for manufacturing advertising items such as display stands, podiums, booths, exhibitions, and event structures.
• Value Engineering: Develop feasible engineering drawings by applying Value Engineering principles to maximize cost efficiency and practicality. Your innovative approach will help deliver multiple projects using the most resource-effective methods without compromising quality.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Technical/Design Head and Production Management team to determine project manufacturing timelines. Your role will involve guiding manufacturing and operations departments on fabrication and assembly methods, ensuring alignment with production plans and project priorities.
• Procurement Support: Coordinate with the Procurement Department to expedite the purchase of raw materials, accessories, and other essential manufacturing supplies. Your proactive communication will help minimize delays and keep projects on schedule.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain meticulous records of all engineering data, drawings, material specifications, and quantity lists. Ensure that all designs and executions comply with health and safety standards, and oversee project execution to verify adherence to dimensions, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
• Operational Guidance: Provide detailed operational explanations to manufacturing teams to facilitate smooth production processes. Your clear and concise instructions will enhance efficiency and reduce the likelihood of errors.
• Innovation and Improvement: Support the development of manufacturing and operations departments by introducing advanced tools and fabrication methods that reduce costs and enhance productivity. Propose innovative ideas and suggest new materials and tools to elevate the quality and functionality of our final products.
• Problem-Solving and Communication: Address challenges that arise during production by collaborating effectively with the Technical/Design Head to propose suitable and effective solutions. Your strong communication skills will be vital in fostering a cohesive and productive work environment.
• Time Management: Demonstrate exceptional task prioritization and time management skills to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your ability to balance multiple responsibilities will be critical to the success of our operations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts with a specialization in Industrial Design from an accredited institution.
• Technical Proficiency: High accuracy and speed in utilizing design and engineering software tools, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CorelDraw, and Excel. Your technical expertise will be the foundation of your success in this position.
• Industry Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the advertising and signage industry or a closely related field. Your practical knowledge will enable you to navigate the complexities of this dynamic environment.
