Mechanical Shift Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Shift Supervisor to oversee mechanical maintenance operations during assigned shifts. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the reliability of critical equipment, minimize operational downtime, and uphold the highest standards of safety and efficiency within our plant. Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of Maintenance Activities: Lead and direct corrective, preventive, and emergency mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and adherence to operational schedules.
• Compliance and Safety Oversight: Monitor maintenance activities to guarantee strict compliance with established maintenance plans, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding personnel and assets.
• Field Inspections and Team Leadership: Conduct thorough field inspections to assess the condition of equipment and machinery, while providing guidance and support to the shift maintenance team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Corrective Action Coordination: Review inspection reports, identify areas requiring corrective measures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement timely and effective solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed shift maintenance reports that document equipment breakdowns, maintenance interventions, and follow-up actions to facilitate data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Technical Review and Coordination: Analyze engineering drawings and technical documents to ensure alignment with maintenance objectives, while coordinating with engineering teams to resolve complex mechanical issues.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting. Prior experience in the cement industry is highly advantageous, as it provides valuable insights into the unique challenges and operational demands of this sector.
