Position Overview
Cardinal Health, a global leader in healthcare services and solutions, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing & Tenders Specialist to join our Middle East team. Based in either Dubai or Riyadh, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth, enhancing customer engagement, and optimizing tender management processes. Reporting directly to the General Manager of the Middle East Region, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute high-impact marketing strategies, support sales initiatives, and ensure competitive positioning in the healthcare market. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a passion for healthcare innovation and a proven track record in marketing and tender management.
Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing & Tenders Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights: Identify growth opportunities, assess customer segments, evaluate competitive positioning, and conduct comprehensive market assessments, including TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, PESTEL, SWOT, and market dynamics evaluation. Translate findings into actionable recommendations to guide portfolio and campaign decisions.
- Collaborative Campaign Execution: Partner with sales and product teams to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns that align with business objectives. Support product demonstrations through workshops, events, and promotional activities to highlight product benefits and drive customer engagement.
- Proposal Development & Customer Engagement: Prepare and maintain compelling customer-facing commercial proposal packages, including product positioning, value propositions, and all required documentation. Ensure alignment with customer requirements and internal policies to facilitate smooth deal closures.
- Channel & Partner Coordination: Collaborate with distributors and strategic partners to support commercial initiatives, including NDAs, confirmations of interest, and documentation alignment. Facilitate seamless collaboration throughout the opportunity lifecycle to enhance market reach and efficiency.
- Digital Marketing & Performance Analytics: Manage and optimize social media platforms while monitoring digital marketing performance across SEO, PPC, email, and social channels. Leverage data-driven insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI.
- Event Planning & Activation: Support the planning and execution of marketing events, workshops, and speaking engagements. Track event impact, follow up with sales teams, and ensure post-event actions drive measurable results.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze marketing data, including campaign performance, customer behavior, sales trends, and competitor activities. Utilize statistical tools and techniques to generate insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Tender Management Excellence: Lead tender marketing activities to create awareness and position products with key stakeholders through targeted campaigns, educational content, and engagement initiatives. Assist in the preparation and review of tender documentation, including instructions to bidders, contract forms, general terms and conditions, and bid forms.
- Tender Performance Tracking: Maintain and update the tender management tool to record business analysis, quotes, product performance, and tender trend analysis. Monitor competitor tender activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Qualifications & Experience
To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and attributes:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: 2–4 years of experience in marketing within a multinational organization, preferably in the healthcare industry and ideally within the medical devices sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of local business practices and legal processes in the Middle East region.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with the capacity to perform independently, interpret complex data, and deliver actionable insights under minimal supervision.
- Language & Communication: Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is essential to engage effectively with stakeholders across the region.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
