Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Director will play a critical role in the organization’s success by fulfilling the following responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking financial strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee comprehensive financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and resource efficiency.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and internal policies to mitigate risks and maintain organizational integrity.
• Financial Reporting & Transparency: Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and final accounts, providing clear insights into the company’s financial health for stakeholders and leadership.
• Performance Monitoring & Decision Support: Continuously analyze financial performance, benchmark against industry standards, and deliver strategic recommendations to support executive decision-making and long-term business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business units, including Human Resources, to assess financial requirements, allocate resources effectively, and align financial strategies with operational needs.
• Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement robust internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and financial stability.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Certification: Preferred qualifications include CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or an equivalent globally recognized certification.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role. Prior experience within a publicly listed company is essential to understand the complexities of regulatory reporting and stakeholder expectations.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, variance analysis, and ERP systems. Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing finance teams, foster collaboration across departments, and communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Human Resources industry is advantageous, though not mandatory. A deep understanding of financial governance, risk management, and strategic planning is critical.
