About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and lead our construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving project success, mitigating risks, and optimizing resource allocation to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Manager will play a multifaceted role, encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and commercial management. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Oversight and Coordination: Lead and coordinate all construction activities, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Oversee the execution of project plans while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Cost Control and Financial Management: Develop and implement robust cost control measures by analyzing expenditures, identifying inefficiencies, and advising management on cost-effective strategies. Establish and maintain detailed line-item budgets for preliminaries and consumables to ensure financial transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Earnings Optimization and Value Engineering: Strategize and execute approaches to maximize project earnings while maintaining the integrity of services and goods. Monitor value engineering initiatives, track design modifications, and reconcile variations to enhance efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Proactively identify and eliminate potential risks and hazards by evaluating project designs for elements that may lead to disputes or claims. Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Develop and enforce robust safety policies and procedures to foster a secure working environment for all personnel.
• Contract Administration and Tendering: Actively participate in tendering processes to identify discrepancies, evaluate bids, and ensure alignment with project requirements. Oversee contract administration to safeguard the organization’s interests and mitigate legal risks.
• Human Resource Management: Lead HR processes related to team mobilization and demobilization, ensuring optimal staffing levels and resource allocation. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the construction team.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Leadership: Champion HSE initiatives by promoting safety awareness, participating in incident reporting, and contributing to resolution efforts in accordance with company policies and International Management System (IMS) standards. Drive continuous improvement in safety performance across all project phases.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A professional degree in a related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture. Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant construction management role. Prior experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly advantageous.
