Director of Finance – Healthcare Revenue Cycle Leadership (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Director of Finance with deep expertise in the healthcare industry to lead our enterprise-wide revenue cycle operations. This pivotal role will be based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and will report directly to the Executive Director of Business Development. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional financial acumen, and a proven track record in optimizing revenue cycle performance within complex healthcare ecosystems. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and compliance across all Medical City assets, including hospitals, clinics, sports medicine, and wellness services.

Strategic Leadership in Revenue Cycle Management

As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive enterprise-wide revenue cycle strategy that aligns clinical, operational, and financial objectives. Your role will encompass the development and implementation of innovative revenue models, such as bundled care, subscription-based services, and value-based reimbursement frameworks. By fostering integrated revenue operations, you will ensure standardized processes across all service lines, from patient access and eligibility verification to coding, billing, claims processing, and collections. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying revenue leakage, minimizing denials, and enhancing cash flow performance to achieve sustainable financial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Revenue Strategy & Value Optimization:
    • Develop and execute a cohesive revenue cycle strategy that maximizes revenue realization across the Medical City ecosystem.
    • Lead pricing strategy initiatives and payer mix optimization to enhance financial performance.
    • Pioneer new revenue models, including bundled care and value-based reimbursement, to align with market demands and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrated Revenue Operations Leadership:
    • Establish and oversee a fully integrated, standardized revenue cycle model that spans hospitals, clinics, sports medicine, and wellness services.
    • Ensure seamless coordination between clinical, administrative, and finance teams to optimize revenue capture and operational efficiency.
    • Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including denial rates, underpayments, and collection efficiency.
  • Financial Performance Ownership & Forecasting:
    • Own revenue forecasting, budgeting inputs, and financial planning related to revenue streams.
    • Analyze performance trends and present actionable insights to executive leadership to drive informed decision-making.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that enhance financial sustainability and growth.
  • Payer Strategy, Contracting & Market Positioning:
    • Lead payer negotiations and contract structuring in partnership with finance and executive leadership.
    • Monitor payer performance, reimbursement structures, and compliance requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen competitive positioning within the payer ecosystem.
  • Digital Transformation & Data-Driven Excellence:
    • Champion the implementation of advanced revenue cycle management (RCM) systems, automation tools, and analytics platforms.
    • Develop real-time dashboards and predictive analytics capabilities to enhance decision-making and operational agility.
    • Drive continuous innovation in revenue cycle processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure strict adherence to coding standards, regulatory requirements, and billing compliance across all operations.
    • Establish robust internal controls to mitigate financial and compliance risks, including audit readiness and response mechanisms.
    • Lead proactive measures to identify and address potential revenue leakage and compliance gaps.
  • Leadership & Organizational Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing revenue cycle team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
    • Develop internal capabilities in coding, billing, analytics, and payer management through targeted training and mentorship.
    • Collaborate with HR and leadership to attract, retain, and develop top talent within the finance and revenue cycle domains.

Key Performance Metrics

To ensure success in this role, you will be accountable for achieving the following key performance indicators:

  • Improve revenue realization and overall collection efficiency across all service lines.
  • Reduce accounts receivable (AR) days and enhance cash flow performance.
  • Maintain denial rates below industry benchmarks through effective process controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Minimize revenue leakage by implementing strong audit mechanisms and compliance protocols.
  • Enhance efficiency and turnaround time across the full revenue cycle to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications & Competencies

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CHFP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), with a proven track record in leadership roles.
