Lead Technical Application Engineer - MENAT Region

The Lead Technical Application Engineer is a pivotal role responsible for driving business development, technical support, and market intelligence within the Grid Automation (GA) market across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region. This position requires close coordination with GE sales, engineering, and services teams, and reports directly to the GA TAE Leader MENAT.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Drive technical marketing and opportunity creation based on installed base and market information.
• Provide L2 application support to clients, including technical queries, customized solutions, scheme engineering, and field performance analysis.
• Lead product launches, promotions, and approvals through marketing channels.
• Investigate and resolve product problems and non-quality issues reported by customers.
• Support tendering and negotiation processes by studying customer requirements and assisting in contract negotiations.
• Monitor commercial channels, market trends, and competitor activities to improve GA solutions' awareness.
• Manage product management tasks, including obsoletions, new product availability, firmware upgrades, and customer support.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning protection products, applications, and engineering projects in the GA field, with extensive site experience.
• Proven experience in Protection & Automation products and understanding of competitors' products.
• Site testing and commissioning experience.
• Extensive experience in Utilities, Industrial/O&G Applications, with a working knowledge of O&G being an advantage.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% as required.
