Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant or Manager in our Financial Advisory team, your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Analysis and Research: Conduct in-depth industry and business research to identify critical issues, opportunities, and risks affecting client operations. Analyze financial statements and commercial data to extract actionable insights and inform strategic decision-making.
• Financial and Commercial Analysis: Assist in detailed financial modeling, liquidation analysis, valuation exercises, and cash flow forecasting to assess business viability and recommend tailored solutions. Develop and validate robust business plans to support client objectives.
• Deliverable Development: Synthesize complex findings into clear, concise, and high-impact client reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations. Ensure deliverables are delivered within planned timescales while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
• Client Engagement and Support: Collaborate closely with senior team members during client meetings, presentations, and advisory engagements. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on financial restructuring, operational cost reduction, working capital management, and interim management solutions.
• Business Development and Growth: Contribute to business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, supporting proposal development, and fostering long-term client relationships. Leverage your expertise to enhance Teneo’s reputation as a leader in financial advisory services.

Project Exposure

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of transformative projects, including:

• Company Diagnostics and Turnaround Planning: Assess underperforming businesses, identify root causes of distress, and develop comprehensive turnaround strategies to restore financial health and operational efficiency.
• Debt Restructuring: Advise clients on restructuring debt obligations, negotiating with creditors, and implementing sustainable financial solutions to alleviate liquidity pressures.
• Cash Flow Management and Forecasting: Develop short-term cash flow forecasts and establish cash management offices to enhance liquidity and financial resilience during periods of stress.
• Independent Business Reviews: Conduct objective assessments of business performance, evaluate strategic options, and provide data-driven recommendations to drive value creation and risk mitigation.
• Operational Cost Reduction: Lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce inefficiencies, and optimize cost structures without compromising business performance.
• Interim Management and PMO Leadership: Provide interim leadership and project management office (PMO) support to guide businesses through critical transitions, ensuring seamless execution of restructuring plans.

Key Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and attributes:

• Professional Background: A minimum of 3 years of experience in restructuring, turnaround advisory, financial advisory, investment banking, or corporate finance. Candidates with exposure to insolvency processes and contingency planning are highly desirable.
• Financial Acumen: Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and extract meaningful insights from incomplete or unstructured data. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with the ability to create compelling presentations and reports. Familiarity with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Alteryx is a plus.
• Communication and Project Management: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver under pressure.
• Professionalism and Integrity: A commitment to discretion, ethical conduct, and professionalism in all interactions. The ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders is critical.
• Language and Market Knowledge: Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in Arabic is strongly preferred. Experience in the UAE or KSA market is highly advantageous, as is a deep understanding of regional financial and regulatory landscapes.
