Trade Marketing & Distribution Representative

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Marketing & Distribution Representative to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving brand visibility, optimizing distribution channels, and ensuring the effective execution of trade marketing strategies within your assigned territory. Your expertise will play a critical role in maximizing business opportunities, enhancing in-store presence, and maintaining strong relationships with trade partners to achieve our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following core responsibilities:

• Territory Evaluation & Opportunity Maximization: Continuously assess your assigned territory to identify and capitalize on all available business opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Cycle Plan Implementation: Execute all cycle plan activities with precision to drive consistent performance and meet set targets.
• Trade Marketing Reporting & Documentation: Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and timely trade marketing reports, including:
  • Area Summary File
  • Trade Marketing Updates (TMU)
  • Reconciliation reports (Rental, REP, BA activity)
  • Competitor analysis and market intelligence
  • Qualitative and quantitative surveys
• Trade Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with trade partners to secure their active support in maximizing volume and enhancing in-store brand presence within agreed budgets.
• Trade Incentive Schemes: Implement trade incentive programs as outlined in the operational plan and provide actionable feedback to refine strategies for optimal results.
• In-Store Visibility & Brand Awareness: Utilize trade marketing and distribution (TM&D) tools to maximize the visibility and recognition of ALFAKHER brands in retail environments.
• Collaboration with Distributor Sales Force: Work closely with distributor teams to identify and capitalize on distribution opportunities while minimizing out-of-stock (OOS) situations.
• Performance Tracking: Meet and exceed TM&D key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined by the organization.
• Product Quality & Availability: Ensure the continuous freshness and availability of ALFAKHER products across all retail outlets.
• Merchandising & Compliance: Execute merchandising activities to maintain clean, functional in-store furniture and ensure strict adherence to agreed planograms.
• Resource Optimization: Secure and deploy trade marketing resources in the most efficient and effective manner to drive maximum return on investment.
• Stock Management: Maintain the integrity of Trade Marketing Representative (TMR) stock floats and ensure accurate reconciliation processes.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Industry Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a merchandising or trade marketing role within an FMCG company, preferably one with a structured trade marketing approach.
• Interpersonal & Influencing Skills: Exceptional interpersonal abilities with a talent for influencing key stakeholders and trade partners to achieve mutual goals.
• Organizational & Time Management: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Mobility & Compliance: A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within your assigned territory as required.
