Role Overview

In alignment with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Nitaqat initiative, the IVSC is seeking a highly motivated Saudi National to fill the position of IVSC Middle East and Africa (MEA) Communications Officer. This role is based in Riyadh and reports directly to the IVSC MEA Director. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the IVSC’s influence across the Middle East and Africa by engaging with key stakeholders, including regulators, valuation professionals, preparers and users of valuations, investors, financial institutions, accountants, and academic bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Outreach: Assist in executing the IVSC’s outreach strategy to engage stakeholders across the Middle East and Africa, fostering relationships with regulators, valuation professional organizations, preparers, users of valuations, investors, banks, accountants, and academic institutions.
• Membership Growth: Drive the acquisition of new members and sponsors by identifying, contacting, and nurturing leads to expand the IVSC’s network and influence in the region.
• Global Communications Coordination: Collaborate closely with the global Director of Communications to ensure seamless and effective execution of all external communications initiatives, including digital platforms, email campaigns, social media, advertising, and events.
• Internal Communications Facilitation: Support the facilitation of internal communications within the organization, ensuring alignment and coordination among staff, board members, and volunteers worldwide.
• Event Management: Organize, market, and host both physical and virtual events, including webinars and conferences, in partnership with relevant organizations to enhance engagement and knowledge sharing.
• Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to evaluate the viability of potential future proposals, partnerships, and opportunities, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Education and Experience: A university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Commitment to Public Good: A strong dedication to contributing to the public interest and advancing the field of valuation standards.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic, with exceptional public speaking abilities.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive and initiative-driven approach to growing and developing the IVSC’s presence in the Middle East and Africa.
• Communication and Consultation Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and disseminate information to diverse stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiencies: Proficiency in common business applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite (essential), WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva (highly desirable).
• Cultural Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and collaborate effectively with teams across different regions.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to undertake occasional travel, primarily within the Middle East and Africa, to support organizational objectives.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with valuation, accounting, and finance principles (preferred but not mandatory).
