Reporting Analyst

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic Logistics and Exploration Operations team based in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in enhancing operational efficiency by designing, developing, and maintaining structured operational reports, consolidating data from diverse sources, conducting in-depth analysis, and creating interactive management dashboards. Your contributions will directly support camp and field operations, enabling data-driven decision-making across accommodation, logistics, fleet management, inventory control, catering services, transportation, and support services. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for transforming raw data into strategic insights that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

• Report Development and Maintenance: Prepare and maintain a comprehensive suite of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc Management Information System (MIS) reports covering all aspects of camp operations, logistics, fleet management, inventory, catering, transportation, and support services. Ensure reports are delivered punctually and adhere to the highest standards of accuracy and relevance.
• Data Collection and Validation: Gather, validate, and consolidate operational data from multiple sources, including field teams, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Excel trackers, and operational databases. Maintain rigorous data integrity to support reliable reporting and analysis.
• Analytical Insights and Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of operational trends, identify key variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management. Translate complex data into clear, concise, and executive-ready formats that facilitate informed decision-making.
• Dashboard and Visualization Development: Design and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using advanced tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms. Ensure these tools are user-friendly and effectively communicate critical performance metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, fleet, inventory, camp management, catering, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting. Act as a liaison to gather requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions that meet operational needs.
• Process Standardization and Documentation: Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates, centralized data repositories, version control protocols, and audit-ready documentation. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Automation and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for reporting automation, process enhancements, and data quality improvements. Implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort in reporting workflows.
• Performance Monitoring Support: Provide analytical support for operational reviews, performance monitoring initiatives, and strategic planning sessions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and management information systems.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Statistics, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Additional certifications in Data Analytics, Power BI, or other reporting tools are advantageous.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 to 9 years of progressive experience in MIS reporting, operational reporting, data analytics, financial reporting, or management reporting. Prior exposure to logistics, camp operations, facilities management, inventory, fleet, or industrial operations is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis, PivotTables, dashboard creation, and reporting automation. Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization tools is essential.
• Analytical and Data Management Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex datasets, validate data accuracy, and consolidate information from disparate sources. Strong aptitude for transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
• ERP and System Familiarity: Experience working with ERP systems and supporting audit processes. Knowledge of performance reporting frameworks and data governance best practices is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities. Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving acumen, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
